Latest Teen Boy Girl Bedroom

Themes

  • Step 1:
Choose a theme for your baby's bedroom to help you decide how to decorate. Common themes for baby bedrooms are safari, pink and white, blue and white, under water, bunnies and sports.

    Furniture

    • Step 1:
Every baby needs a place to sleep. A bassinet or crib should be placed in the baby's bedroom. You can purchase a changing table and dresser separately, or you can find a unit that is both pieces combined to save room.

    Bedding

    • Step 1:
A waterproof mattress cover is a must for baby's bed. You will also need fitted sheets that match the decor you have chosen. Comforters and bumpers are cute but could be a SIDS risk. If you purchase a comforter, consider hanging it on the wall away from the crib to decorate the baby's room.

    Walls

    • Step 1:
The walls of a baby's bedroom should be a light, cheerful color. A border can be placed at the ceiling, at the chair rail level or at the baseboard.

    Floor

    • Step 1:
A rug that matches your theme can be placed on the floor of your baby's bedroom. The rug will help tie everything together.

    Other Decor

    • Step 1:
Babies enjoy watching mobiles, so you might consider placing one on the crib. You can also place pictures and photographs on the walls to give your baby something to look at.
